BIKE FESTIVAL
Mecca of international mountain bike for two decades,
Houffalize hold on 29, April 30 and May 1, its first festival
MTB.
Twenty years of mountain biking, eighteen editions of the Cup
World Cross-Country Olympic and two editions of the Cup
World of four cross in no way altered the motivation and enthusiasm
organizers.

All Event Organization, Impact Distribution and hold the City of Houffalize
Mounted on the months of April and May the first festival
Belgian MTB covering all disciplines of the sport: crosscountry
Olympic (XCO), downhill, 4X (four cross), enduro, trial,
freestyle.
A rich and eclectic program that will not fail to attract
the mass of competitors and a large audience in the capital
Belgian MTB.
Several strengths and innovations mark the weekend races
UCI hors category (junior men and women, U23 men and
Ladies, ladies elite and elite men), Belgium Championships
downhill and four cross, European 4X Series, first
“Houffalois Triptych”, a Tour in 3 days and 3 stages, short track
and demonstrations of freestyle.

29, April 30 and May 1: OPEN TOUR HOUFFALIZE
HOT!
A first in Houffalize. This XCO
sail the triangle Houffalize, La Roche, Bastogne
in three stages and three days.
The prologue will be run Friday, April 30 at the beginning
evening (19h) in Houffalize. On the menu: start loop and
a tour of the old circuit in the World Cup.
Saturday, April 30, the second stage, 60km long, will
played on the course Houffalize-La Roche
Houffalize.
Sunday, May 1, the triptych will find its conclusion
with step-Bastogne-Houffalize Houffalize long
also of 60 terminals. An opportunity to discover
the Luxembourg Ardennes, or free style
competition.

April 29: SHORT TRACK
This animation sport played at night under from downtown take the form of an elimination race
on a circuit of 500 to 600 meters. With the presence assured of several stars on the world circuit.
April 29: RACING LEGEND
The monthly magazine Belgian O2 BIKERS celebrate in 2011 its
twenty years of existence. For the occasion, the editorial team
hold the center of the city Ardennes race
unusual on a reduced circuit involving former glories
MTB, journalists and guests.

April 30: XCO OPEN RACES
The three races open to men beginners, fun and B (70
minutes) and Masters A and B (100 minutes) will be played on the old
circuit of the “World Cup XCO. A circuit unanimously appreciated
competitors who will find the famous downhill and Andrian
Trough of Outh. Nostalgic for the plot houffalois salute
return to competition at the “old”.

This night hike of 20 km has become over the

The 2010 “World Cup XCO. Saturday (15 hours), men and junior women
will be showing. Sunday, elite women and women compete U23
10.30am before handing the baton to the U23 men (12:15) and then to
Elite Men (1430). Manufactured to meet for the first time, and U23
elites will compete in separate races.

Belgium DOWNHILL CHAMPIONSHIP (OPEN)
The Belgian championship downhill 2011 will advanced in May
and organized the festival MTB houffalois. The qualifications are
place on Saturday from 13h and the final on Sunday at 12:30. The
resume course outline of the 2009 with a final technical
and spectacular. Note that the race will be “open”, the tricolor jersey
being awarded to the first Belgian.

EUROPEAN 4X SERIES
Our country has two tracks of four cross in the Walloon Region: Houffalize
and Malmedy. The latter hosted the championships in Belgium
2009 and 2010.
This year’s national title in the discipline will be awarded to the Houffalize
Sunday, May 1 (final 18h).
The track of the Luxembourg Ardennes also host a premiere
Sunday May 1: the opening round of the European 4X Series.
Ensured the presence of several top riders of four-cross world.

FREESTYLE BAG
Four demonstrations (two on Saturday and all on Sundays) will allow the public discover that discipline.
A track momentum to springboard and 40m with mattress giant inflatable allow pilots
to perform many tricks and dramatic. Back-flip, 360
tail whip and other Superman delight spectators who may, themselves also, try to discipline through
some protection and guidance of a qualified instructor.

May 1: WALKING
Necessary complement to any event MTB, two rides open
the general public will be held Sunday, May 2 on

Vingt années de mountain bike, dix-huit éditions de la Coupe du
Monde de cross-country olympique et deux éditions de la Coupe du
Monde de four cross n’ont en rien altéré la motivation et l’enthousiasme
des organisateurs.
Que du contraire…
All Event Organisation, Impact Diffusion et la Ville de Houffalize organiseront
à cheval sur les mois d’avril et de mai le premier festival
belge MTB reprenant l’ensemble des disciplines de ce sport: crosscountry
olympique (xco), descente, 4x (four cross), enduro, trial,
freestyle.
Un programme éclectique et copieux qui ne manquera pas d’attirer
la masse des compétiteurs et un nombreux public dans la capitale du
MTB belge.
Plusieurs points forts et innovations marqueront le week-end : courses
UCI hors catégorie (juniors hommes et dames, U23 hommes et
dames, élites dames et hommes élites), championnats de Belgique

UCI. Ces épreuves prisées et limitées au calendrier international ne
manqueront pas d’attirer de grosses pointures du cross-country mondial.
D’autant plus qu’elles se dérouleront à Houffalize sur le tracé
2010 de la «World Cup xco». Samedi (15h), hommes et dames juniors
seront à l’affiche. Dimanche, dames élites et dames U23 s’affronteront
dès 10h30 avant de céder le relais aux hommes U23 (12h15) puis aux
hommes élites (14h30). Fait à relever : pour la première fois, U23 et
élites s’affronteront dans des courses distinctes.
CHAMPIONNAT DE Belgique DE DESCENTE (OPEN)
et organisé dans le cadre du festival MTB houffalois. Les qualifications se
dérouleront le samedi à partir de 13h et la finale le dimanche à 12h30. Le
parcours reprendra les grandes lignes de l’édition 2009 avec un final technique
et spectaculaire. Relevons que la descente sera «open», le maillot tricolore
étant décerné au premier Belge.
CHAMPIONNAT DE Belgique DE 4X
EUROPEAN 4X SERIES
